1.1 Applicable Scope

1.1.1 EcoNode605 Series Overview

The EcoNode605 series is a versatile standard EMS/EMU carrier that supports HEMS (Home Energy Management System).

1.1.2 IoT Management

Our IoT management system ensures the proper operation of the EcoNode605 by overseeing its functionality, installing security-related updates, and facilitating both configuration and system expansion. This comprehensive approach guarantees effective performance, security, and adaptability to evolving needs.

1.1.3 Technical Specifications

The EcoNode605 features a high-performance embedded computing platform suitable for residential and commercial energy storage cabinet deployments. It is equipped with a robust quad-core 64-bit processor and offers a wide range of interfaces, including RS485, RS232, CAN, AI, DI, and DO. The device supports common power data acquisition protocols, autonomous operation configuration, excellent protocol conversion, and data collection capabilities. It also includes configuration control, breakpoint resume, remote management, and serial-to-Ethernet passthrough functions, with support for wide-temperature operation. Its remote management capabilities make it ideal for large-scale IoT deployments in energy storage systems.

1.1.4 HEMS Functionality

Running HEMS, the EcoNode605 maximizes the self-consumption of electricity generated from roof-mounted PV systems, enhances energy efficiency, and reduces costs. It lays the groundwork for future use of smart tariffs and grid services, ensuring readiness for future advancements.

1.1.5 Operational Benefits

The EcoNode605 optimizes PV self-consumption and reduces costs by acting as the central control system between the PV system and electricity consumers such as heat pumps, energy storage systems, and EV charging stations (wallboxes, charging columns). It also includes integrated overload protection. The heat pump operates or the electric vehicle charges when there is abundant free electricity from the PV system. If PV power is insufficient, it ensures the vehicle is charged as needed.

1.2 Standard Environmental

The EcoNode605 is designed to operate effectively under a range of environmental conditions:
  • Temperature Range: It supports wide-temperature operation to accommodate various environmental conditions.

  • Humidity: The device is tested to handle typical humidity levels in both residential and commercial environments.

  • Altitude: It is designed to function reliably at typical altitudes for energy management applications.
These standard environmental test conditions ensure that the EcoNode605 performs consistently and reliably in diverse settings.
